Fani-Kayode Calls For Ayu’s Arrest Over Financial Scandal
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode on Monday reacted to the financial scandal in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Recall that some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party returned a huge sum of money sent into their account by the party leadership.
PDP had claimed that the fund was forwarded into their account for the housing allowance.
Fani-Kayode in his reaction called for the arrest of the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu and NWC members.
The former minister wondered why members of the PDP leadership have not been arrested by security operatives over the misappropriation of funds.
Fani-Kayode further stated that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of Abdullahi Adamu is transparent, accountable and responsible.
The APC chieftain while wondering why Ayu has not been arrested, wrote in a post on his Twitter account, “Why have the security agencies not rounded him and all the other members of the PDP NWC up and questioned them about his bogus and perfidious election as National Chairman, the misappropriation and diversion of the one billion naira and the bribe money that was paid into the bank accounts of the PDP NWC members?
“Are Ayu and the leaders of the opposition above the law?”
